How to delete your account

1. 1. Open the app and sign in.
2. 2. Tap your name in the top right, then Profile.
3. 3. Scroll to "Your data".
4. 4. Tap "Delete my account".
5. 5. Type your email address to confirm, then tap "Permanently delete".

No longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in? Email support@letsgethot.app from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.

Deleting some of your data, without closing your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Each of these can be deleted on its own, from inside the app, and takes effect immediately.

• A progress photo. Journey → Progress photos → the photo → Delete. The encrypted image and the key that opens it both go.
• Your profile photo. Profile → change or remove your avatar.
• A recipe review you wrote. Open the recipe → your review → Delete.
• A comment or reaction on the feed. Open the item → your comment → Delete.
• A shared recipe link. Open the recipe → Share → revoke the link. It stops resolving straight away.
• Your Kroger connection. Profile → Connections → Disconnect. The stored token is deleted, not just unlinked.
• A friend, or someone you blocked. Friends → remove, or Profile → Blocked members → unblock.
• Notifications on this device. Notifications → turn off. The push subscription for the device is removed.

For anything not listed, email support@letsgethot.app from the address on your account and say what you would like removed.

Deleting your whole account

Everything below is removed immediately and permanently. There is no grace period and no way to recover it.

• Your profile, goal and measurements
• Meal plans, recipes you saved, and grocery lists
• Training weeks and workout history
• Weigh-ins, step and activity history
• Your food log, the foods you logged before, and your conversations with Ember
• Progress photos, including the key that decrypts them
• Friends, blocks, feed posts, comments and reactions
• Badges, stats, pantry, and any connected Kroger account
• Push subscriptions and notification tokens
• Your account itself, and your ability to sign in

An active subscription is cancelled first. A subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is cancelled with that store, and any refund is governed by the store’s own policy.

What is kept, and why

Three things intentionally survive deletion. None of them can be used to sign in or to rebuild your profile.

• Dish photographs. Generated images are shared across everyone who is offered the same dish and contain nothing personal.
• Payment records. Our payment processors keep transaction records for financial and tax compliance, under their own retention policies.
• Creator earnings, if you were an affiliate. Commission amounts, dates and payment references are financial records and are kept so that money already owed can still be paid and audited. Your name and email stay attached to that record for exactly that reason. Your referral link stops working immediately.
