Questions and answers
How Let's Get Hot works, what it costs, and what happens to your data.
Getting started
- What does the app actually do?
- You answer a short set of questions once. After that you get a full week of meals with calories and cost per serving, a grocery list priced at a real store near you, and a training week built around the equipment you have. You do not plan anything yourself.
- Do I have to use both meals and training?
- No. Either can be turned off in Profile, and the rest of the app carries on without it.
- Is there a chatbot?
- There is Ember, and it is one door rather than the whole app. You can type or talk to it, show it a photo of a meal or a machine, and ask it to change your week. Everything else still runs the AI in the background and hands you buttons: you should never have to phrase a request well to get dinner.
- What can Ember actually change?
- Your meal and training weeks, and your food log. Every change arrives as a card you have to tap Apply on, and every one of them passes the same allergy, injury and equipment checks in code that a week we built for you does. Ember cannot log steps or workouts, and it cannot join, score or alter a challenge or a leaderboard, for you or for anyone else.
- Does the food log affect challenges or leaderboards?
- No, and it never will. Nothing in the app scores what you ate: your log is only yours, and it does not reach the feed, a leaderboard or a challenge. Calorie figures are estimates, whether they came from a recipe, a food database, a photo or you.
Food, allergies and safety
- How seriously are allergies taken?
- Allergies, dietary restrictions, injuries and the equipment in your kitchen are checked by code on every recipe and every workout before it reaches you, including ones reused from other members. The model proposes; the checks decide. Always read product labels yourself as well, since ingredients change.
- I do not like a meal. Can I change it?
- Yes. Any single meal can be swapped, and the whole week can be regenerated. Both run in the background, so you can keep using the app while they work.
- How is the grocery list priced?
- Against a real store. If you give a ZIP code we use your nearest one, otherwise a reference store. Staples you already own can be marked as owned and drop out of the total. Store pricing is available in the United States, where our grocery partner operates; elsewhere the list still generates with estimated costs.
Billing
- How does the free trial work?
- Meal planning and training are included for 14 days and nothing is charged until you choose a plan. You are not asked for a card to start.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Challenges, friends, the feed, badges, leaderboards, and your step and weigh-in tracking keep working, free, with no card and no clock. What pauses is new planning: meal weeks, grocery lists, and training weeks. Everything you already made stays yours to read, cook, and print, and subscribing picks up where it stopped.
- How do I cancel?
- Wherever you subscribed. On Android that is Google Play, on iPhone and iPad the App Store, and on the web from Profile then Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access to the end of the period you have paid for.
Your data
- How do I delete my account, or just some of my data?
- Both are explained step by step on the delete your account page, including what is removed, what is kept, and why. You do not have to close your account to remove a single photo, review or comment.
- Can I get a copy of my data?
- Yes. Profile, then Your data, then Download my data gives you a JSON file with your profile, plans, workouts, grocery lists, saved recipes, weigh-ins and step logs.
- Does it connect to Apple Health or Health Connect?
- Optionally, for steps, weight, and the workouts your watch records, including their distance and heart rate. It is off until you turn it on, and the app is fully usable without it. Nothing is written back to either.
Anything else
- Is this medical or nutritional advice?
- No. Let's Get Hot does general wellness and nutrition planning. Calorie targets, timelines and costs are estimates. Talk to a healthcare or nutrition professional before making significant changes, especially if you are managing an injury or a health condition.
